What are the special measures taken by RedR India in the wake on COVID-19 pandemic?

Safety of the participants is our utmost priority. At RedR India we strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the National and State Governments. Besides, we have also institutionalized the Special Operating Procedures keeping the current pandemic situation.

What is the eligibility criteria for Open Training Courses?

We are looking for applicants who meet as many of the following criteria as possible:

  • You are working on humanitarian relief programs, either managing field level operations and program implementation or engaged in desk level work
  • You are a specialist professional deployed or seeking deployment in a particular field of expertise
  • You are a development professional interested to expand your knowledge in the domain of humanitarian response
  • You are a government official interested to adapt your skills to the emergency settings
  • You are associated with UN and other transnational organization
  • You are working with CSOs, CSRs and other Foundations having a mandate on risk reduction and emergency response services

How can I apply for open training courses?

Information about the open courses are updated regularly in the training page on our website. Interested candidates can write to us on training@redrindia.org  or click into the registration link for the application form. Registration will be confirmed upon completion of the application form and receipt of course fee.

How much does a normal training course cost?

The training costs vary from course-to-course, depending upon the duration, type (residential / day course), modality (classroom or field based or blended) and venue of the training. However, efforts are always made to ensure rationality within the costs to allow the national NGOs, CBOs and other institutional partners and interested individuals to attend the courses. Scholarships are also offered to the deserving candidates.

What is the cancellation and refund process for open training courses?

Candidates who wish to cancel their registration can write to us at training@redrindia.org or info@redrindia.org .  Cancellations received without sufficient notice or those who are a no-show are not entitled to a refund. Individual registered participants must cancel their paid registration by 1700 hrs. or fourteen calendar days prior to an event to qualify for full refund.

 

  • If a confirmed seat is cancelled within 14 to 8 calendar days before the scheduled event, cancellation charges will be 20% of the total course fee received by RedR India.
  • If a confirmed seat is cancelled within 7 to 3 calendar days before the scheduled event, cancellation charges will be 33 % of the total course fee received by RedR India.
  • If cancellations are made in the last 48 hours prior to a training only 50% of the course fee received will be refunded.

Are the courses offered by RedR India accredited?

The training courses offered by RedR India are yet to be part of a recognized training accreditation scheme. However, participants will be able to benefit from the brand recognition of RedR India, through the certification.

What is the medium of instruction?

The course including all the training aids and reading materials are delivered in English. Additional support is provided by the training team to those who are not comfortable in English.

Will I get the training content after the course gets over?

All the participants will receive the training materials along with important reference materials and details of fellow participants in a flash drive towards the end of the training.

I am new to the Humanitarian sector, which RedR India course is best for me?

The Essentials of Humanitarian Practice (EHP) is the most recommended course for those who are new to the sector. It gives an overview of the humanitarian sector, beginning with essential principles, frameworks and standards which are non-negotiable. It also highlights on the roles and mandates of different actors ranging from the Government, to private players and UN Agencies.

How will attending a RedR India Training course help me?

The training courses offered by RedR India are recognized nationally and internationally. Attending our open training courses will help you to broaden your understanding on humanitarian work and acquire new skills and knowledge to coordinate on large scale humanitarian response programs.

Can RedR India help me with my visa application?

We will issue an invitation letter to the selected participants, to help them secure their visa for the training course.
