Knowledge Hub

For RedR India, Learning and Development is a proactive engagement in acquiring and informing the sector on best practices and practical solution for improved Humanitarian and DRM actions and policies. RedR India’s Strategy 2014-2018 has led to the creation of a knowledge hub anchored by the Learning and Development Portfolio which works to assimilate, synthesize and document knowledge from our roster members, sector-specialists and RedR trainers and staff.

The vision for Knowledge Hub emphasizes “the transition from a capacity building, human resource and technical support agency for humanitarian work to a center for knowledge provision, creation and dissemination, for humanitarian and DRM work with the same programme portfolios”. Towards this end, RedR India strives to be a key facilitator to the DRM system elucidates RedR India’s existing portfolios to progress towards creating learning and development opportunities, developing knowledge products and disseminating them to other actors in the Humanitarian sector.

Through Knowledge Hub, we aim to provide a learning and development platform and forum for early, mid- and senior level professionals and agencies working on humanitarian action and disaster risk reduction towards achieving their humanitarian vision and career ambitions. Integral to this practice is the enhancement and diversification our core functions of selecting, training and deployment by establishing strategic partnerships and collaborations with academia, global and regional networks, International and National NGOs, UN Bodies and Governments.
