How does being a RedR India Member benefit me?

As a RedR India Member you stand to get an opportunity to work with the humanitarian organisations of repute, as expert deployees during different phases of disaster management. Professional recognition which will support your application for job with other aid agencies. Also, free access to knowledge point.

Who can apply for the RedR India Roster/Membership?

Any professional who has an experience of three years of work within humanitarian sector can apply for RedR India Roster / membership. The professional has to undergo a selection process.

How do I apply for the RedR India Roster?

Can I be on more than one roster from other RedRs?

No. To avoid duplication of effort we encourage people to register in one roster only.

What is the lead time required for completing the Membership Process?

RedR India Roster membership is a long and stringent process that proceeds in a stage-wise manner. Each application is being reviewed and assessed thoroughly and undergo recommended trainings prior to actual deployment. So, the whole process takes minimum 1 year or sometime more than that to complete.

I have done other training courses similar to the RedR India’s mandatory courses, would that be considered while confirming the RedR India Membership?

Only courses provided by other RedR entities (e.g., RedR Australia and RedR UK) are currently accepted as equivalents.

What is the medium of instruction?

The course including all the training aids and reading materials are delivered in English. Additional support is provided by the training team to those who are not comfortable in English.

Will I get to attend any RedR India Training Program for free, by being a Roster Member?

No, but being a RedR India Roster member there you will get a discount on all RedR India training courses

Does getting RedR India Membership constitute that I will get confirmed job / assignment / work?

The utilization of the roster is based on RedR’s mandate- “People for jobs, not jobs for people”. Hence, RedR is not a placement agency. It provides skilled human resource to a variety of humanitarian agencies at all levels at the time of an emergency in order to ensure quality and efficiency of work within the humanitarian sector.

How will RedR India support in enhancing capacities / capabilities of its members?

RedR India makes sure that its roster membership has a holistic outlook and is not just limited to connecting professionals with organizations for jobs. Along with deployment possibilities the roster provides a platform to upgrade skills and knowledge through RedR’s in-house capacity building portfolio and extends technical support and sectoral updates to all its members.
