Learning Objectives

AIM OF THE COURSE

  • Understand the Humanitarian Accountability Framework – Humanitarian Principles, Humanitarian Charter, Code of Conduct, Core Humanitarian Standards, and Sectoral Standards.
  • Define and explain the Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response, Key Actions, Key Indicators and Guidance Notes of the Standards.
  • Explain the interlinkages and complementarity among Accountability Frameworks and tool with an understanding of the Humanitarian Standards Partnership.
  • List potential challenges and identify solutions in applying the standards in their respective work contexts.

WHO SHOULD ENROLL

The course is designed and suited for Coordinators and Managers supervising teams and programmes working in humanitarian response and recovery operations. It is also

suitable for private sector actors and foundations who are engaged in or seeking to work in the realm of humanitarian action. Persons engaged in multi-sector programmes and/or coordination would also benefit for the inter sector approach of the course.
