RedR India training courses incorporate a predominantly hands-on approach to doing humanitarian work to help humanitarian professionals carry out their duties in a more efficient and practical manner. Apart from subject specific technical inputs, our courses provide perspectives on gender, power relationships, public health, emergency response principles, and core standards like SPHERE and HAP amongst other issues. These topics are mainstreamed throughout all the training programmes.
RedR conducts training courses around the globe, often combining them for customized training programmes to form an extensive and renowned portfolio of courses for relief workers of all disciplines.
Training Methods
The emphasis is on active learning through participatory group exercises, case studies, role-play, focused discussions, simulations and practice with equipment used in the field. Training is planned and presented in collaboration with relief agencies and specialist organisations. Informal exchange of experience is a vital part of every course.
